Natural gas futures picked up gains on Thursday as cold weather and another drawdown lifted prices. Natural gas has been extremely volatile over the past month, and market watchers anticipate further chaos throughout global energy markets. February natural gas futures rose $0.091, or 2.88%, to $3.254 per million British thermal units (Btu) at 19:25 GMT on Thursday on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
