The number of oil rigs in the United States remained unchanged at 483 in the week ending September 6, according to Baker Hughes rig count data released on Friday. On an annual basis, oil rigs fell by 30. Meanwhile, the US gas rig count fell by one to land at 94 compared to the week before. The total number of rigs in the country currently stands at 582, down by one from last week and plunging by 50 from the previous year.
