Power outages remain in Texas as Beryl moves on
Electricity supply remained unavailable for more than 1mn Texas power customers today as the remnants of Hurricane Beryl moved further northeast. As of Tuesday morning, more than 1.7mn electricity customers were still without power, while more than 796,000 had power restored, US utility CenterPoint Energy said. On Monday evening, acting Texas governor Dan Patrick estimated that 3mn electric customers were without power in the state, while at least 10 transmission lines remained down.
