Gazprom's Exports to Europe Jump 32% in Q1
Russia’s pipeline gas exports to Europe rose 32% to some 7.7 billion cubic meters in the first quarter of 2024, Energy Intelligence calculates based on gas transmission data. The growth was mainly due to the cooling of state-run Gazprom’s hub-linked export prices, which helped Russia’s sole pipeline gas exporter compete in the markets of southeastern Europe. Due to the relatively low export prices, Gazprom’s strong growth in supply volumes did not convert into higher revenue in the first quarter this year.
