    U.S. applications for unemployment benefits fell to their lowest level in eight months last week as the labor market continues to show strength in the face of elevated interest rates. U.S. applications for jobless claims fell by 20,000 to 201,000 for the week ending Sept. 16, the Labor Department reported Thursday. That’s the lowest figure since the last week of January. Jobless claim applications are seen as representative of the number of layoffs in a given week. The four-week moving average of claims, a less volatile measure, fell by 7,750 to 217,000. USD/JPY is melting. Showing always down pressure. Investors are selling. I expect a long-term big fall ahead 100 bps rate cut.
I call bullshit on these numbers, EVERY SINGLE month the number is revised higher just like NFP, just look at Philly manufacturing index, it plummeted again, that's a real sign of the economy. The fact that USD didn't really rally or do significant moves after those numbers, it's because the big money makers are starting to smell the BS coming from the FED and it's only the matter of time before Dollar starts crumbling.

The economy may have slow down, but there are as many Job posting and "we are hiring'' poster around. The only people who dont have a job right now are the drug addicts.
