  • Kishida, Pelosi agree peace, stability in Taiwan Strait important

    From english.kyodonews.net

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi agreed Friday on the importance of peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait amid a flare-up in tensions since her visit to the self-ruled island. Following the Chinese military's launch a day earlier of ballistic missiles that fell within Japan's exclusive economic zone as part of military drills around Taiwan, Kishida told Pelosi that China's behavior seriously affects the peace and stability of the region and beyond. Kishida told reporters after the meeting he expressed hopes for Pelosi's leadership in achieving a free and ... (full story)

They were focused on the heightened tensions between China and the US. Pelosi and Kishida posed for the media at the Prime Minister's office early in the day. The real question is why is Pelosi doing this knowing full well that it will inflame relationships with China. Diplomatic moves like this will push China and Russia into each others arms, why would you do this?

Nato has 3.5 million troop Russia has only 1 million troops.

So a battle between Russia and NATO shows that Russia is outnumbered 3:1 In these conditions Russia is likely to use nuclear weapons.

China has 2.8 million troops, so China and Russia combined 3.8 million, now we are talking a even battle, Russia is unlikely to go nuclear. It would likely end up being a battle fought in Europe, that would gain the support of the American people.

So as this situation develops what are the trading opportunities, certainly buying the dollar and selling the EURO is a good opportunity, this goes for the GBP as the UK will also be pulled into the conflict if it kicks off.

Keeping your eye on this situation and the response from China, once the pieces are in place the situation will escalate rapidly.

Of all the things she has done this has to be some of the most stupid I ever saw. China and the rest of the world knows damn well where the US stands in the Taiwan conflict. So doing what she did is hard to interpret different than a intentional provocation. It serves no purpose. But we knew that China had to react to this not to loose out. What an idiot she is

yes , there is more money to be made by wars than by peace.
and we all know which country supplied arms and munitions to both sides of WW1 and WWII , and not to mention all the others since then.
trade carefully.

Also, there is only one nation that has the power to shut the Russian invation of Ukraine, China. Forget about the western sanctions and what not. It will not end before Russia has gotten part of Ukraine or China tells Russia the depart. The latter just got postponed a lot I believe.
