New LNG terminals could be designed ‘hydrogen ready’
Global LNG demand is currently around 405 million tonnes a year but this is likely to increase by more than 50% between now and 2040, according to figures released recently by New York-based broker and analyst, Poten & Partners. Import capacity across the world’s 180 LNG terminals has now reached about one billion tonnes a year but more import facilities will be required to handle transition volumes.
